The definition of introspection is contemplation of one’s own
thoughts, feelings, and sensations; self-examination. The word introspection can
be broken down into segments and further explained. Spect is a tool that
measures brain activity. Intro brings focus inward. Ion is energy.
Intro-spect-ion can translate into bringing our focus inward which can enhance
brain activity, and the spect can further prove this increase within brain
functioning.
The brain is a complex organ with which we only utilize a small portion
of its’ potential. We have the ability to unleash more brain power potential. We
first need to comprehend that the active brain fires off electrical signals
throughout its body to compute any one action, or thought. The initial
electrical impulse firing triggers another, and another, and so forth until we
have formed the thought, a feeling, or sensation. We tend to stay within a one
sided dominance of brain activity. We no longer need to accept these
limitations of the mind. We have the ability to bridge the two hemispheres
forming a formidable synergy.
We have to allow ourselves to journey within our mind to unleash further
potential. We need to begin to question the validity of our limited beliefs,
concepts, thoughts, feelings, and sensations. We do this simply by feeling our
reactions of each category of pre-conceived, taught, or adopted associations.
Our brains will produce an electrical storm that will feel as if our sanity is
threatened. We need to push further because that is our ego attempting to keep
us within our own self-inflicted limitations. Our consciousness will shift from
a mental state to an emotional state. We are now able to go from a subjective to
objective stance of reasoning. We still may feel things, but this allows us to
begin reacting to our feelings differently. We adopt a feel and release
attitude to remain free from
restrictions.
We have the capabilities to control our thoughts, emotions, actions, and
reactions. We accept things as they happen. It takes us less energy to accept
rather than reject. We release ourselves from overthinking within accepting,
feeling, and releasing. We hold ourselves captive to over analyzing within
rejection since we react, reflect, react, reflect, react, and the vicious cycle
keeps us locked into a poisonous, toxic habit. We simply need to choose if we
will be a product of our reactions, or our reactions to our products that we
create. Our world can be dramatically effected by our choice which starts with
us at an individual level, but we send out in our interactions with other
people.
